Field Director, HEOR

Location: Remote within the United States; travel up to 60% domestically and internationally. The listed location is RTP, NC.

Salary: $186,500–$250,000 per year, plus eligibility for short-term and long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, mentor, coach, train, and evaluate field-based HEOR Liaisons.
• Maintain priority U.S. payer accounts and engage health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, health systems, and government payers in scientific dialogue.
• Develop and execute HEOR strategic and tactical plans for pipeline and commercialized products.
• Guide payer value propositions, healthcare economic information materials, Medicaid testimonies, and medical dossiers.
• Collect and synthesize payer insights, monitor competitor HEOR and real-world evidence strategies, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Medical Information, and HEOR leadership on evidence strategy, training, performance management, and internal planning.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, health services research, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; or PharmD, PhD, or MD with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of field-based HEOR experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Strong knowledge of HEOR and clinical study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation.
• Strong leadership, influencing, communication, presentation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and ability to travel up to 60%, domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• PharmD, PhD, or MD.
• At least 2 years of people leadership or management experience.
• Experience interacting with U.S. payer or health system decision-makers, economic modeling, or real-world evidence initiatives.
• Familiarity with U.S. payer decision-making, P&T committees, formulary review, and Veeva or similar CRM systems.
