Associate Director, ServiceNow Platform Engineering (ServiceNow)

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year base salary, plus performance-based compensation

What you will do

• Lead enterprise ServiceNow platform engineering across ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, HRSD, ITAM, IAM, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance workflows.
• Build automated incident, change, request, knowledge, access, onboarding, offboarding, and infrastructure fulfillment workflows.
• Govern CMDB, Discovery, MID Server architecture, Service Mapping, configuration item lifecycles, and service relationship data quality.
• Integrate ServiceNow with observability, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure, AWS, Workday, identity providers, inventory systems, and cloud discovery sources.
• Develop dashboards and analytics for service performance, operational resilience, asset utilization, compliance, release events, and platform adoption.
• Advance AI-first service delivery using Virtual Agent, generative AI, predictive intelligence, LLM integrations, and responsible AI controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of enterprise IT experience, including 5+ years of direct ServiceNow leadership with cross-functional delivery responsibility.
• Hands-on expertise with ITSM, ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, HRSD, SAM, IntegrationHub, AI-powered workflows, Flow Designer, and scoped applications.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, REST/SOAP, OAuth 2.0, SAML, MID Server configuration, CI/CD, ATF, observability, and software inventory tools.
• Experience in regulated environments with PCI, SOX, GDPR, PII protection, encryption, access controls, audit logging, and entitlement governance.
• Proven people leadership, stakeholder management, executive communication, and the ability to influence across Engineering, Security, Risk, HR, Operations, and Business teams.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow certifications including CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, CIS-Discovery, CIS-SAM, or CIS-HRSD.
• ITIL v4 or TOGAF certification.
• Experience with Strategic Portfolio Management, GRC, Performance Analytics Advanced, enterprise AI adoption, LLM integration strategy, cloud-native architecture, data lakes, or distributed event pipelines.
