Senior ServiceNow CMDB Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. 20036; U.S. citizenship required

Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Design, configure, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations, custom applications, workflows, and enhancements.
• Implement and mature the CMDB through CI class and data model design aligned with CSDM, Discovery configuration, and identification and reconciliation rules.
• Establish CMDB health, data quality, governance, and platform stability practices.
• Build advanced Service Catalog items with client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer automations, while optimizing ITSM modules.
• Design REST and SOAP integrations with third-party systems using IntegrationHub.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical designs, manage risks and dependencies, and maintain testing, release, and design documentation.

Requirements

• Active Secret or higher clearance required; Top Secret clearance is required for the position.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
• At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and configuration experience, including CMDB implementation, Discovery, and data reconciliation.
• Strong server-side and client-side JavaScript skills, including Glide APIs, Business Rules, and Script Includes.
• Experience with Service Catalog items, workflows, integrations, Agile/Scrum teams, and communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification required.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow CIS certification, especially CIS-Discovery, CIS-ITSM, or CIS-Service Mapping.
• Federal or defense contracting experience in classified, air-gapped, or isolated networks.
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, STIGs, release coordination, version control, automated testing, or ServiceNow ATF.
