Senior Systems Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid work week with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote at one of the hirify.global locations in Commerce City, CO; Framingham, MA; Kalamazoo, MI; Merrimack, NH; New Kensington, PA; Rochester, NY; or Rock Hill, SC.

What you will do

• Resolve Tier 3 incidents involving hardware, software, identity, endpoints, and infrastructure, including root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Lead enterprise migrations, implementations, upgrades, modernization initiatives, and operational handoffs.
• Design and support hybrid and multi-cloud environments across Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, VMware, Hyper-V, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Administer Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows endpoints and servers, identity governance, MFA, and privileged access.
• Design and support networking and security infrastructure, including Fortinet equipment, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Drive automation, maintain SOPs and knowledge articles, communicate technical issues clearly, and mentor other IT teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years delivering enterprise IT solutions and resolving complex IT issues.
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, Exchange, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and hybrid identity.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server through 2022, hybrid multi-forest and multi-tenant architectures, and VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP-aligned environments, and/or ITAR requirements is required.

Nice to have

• Fortinet networking and security experience.
• OT networking experience in manufacturing environments.
• ITIL process familiarity.
• Exposure to CAD systems such as SolidWorks.
