Staff Engineer, Identity & Access Management (IAM)

Location: Remote within the United States, with Salt Lake City as an ideal home base and regular on-site visits required

Annual base salary: $180,600–$212,900, plus bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Assess the current IAM environment and establish a strategy across products, platforms, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, and corporate applications.
• Drive IAM implementation within the broader zero-trust security strategy.
• Architect cloud-based identity governance, access management, and cloud directory solutions.
• Implement RBAC- and ABAC-based onboarding and identity lifecycle workflows.
• Advise IT, security, development, and engineering teams on IAM integration, least-privilege access, and risk management.
• Define KPIs, KCIs, and KRIs and design IAM solutions aligned with SOX, GxP, and other compliance requirements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in IAM and related information security domains.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience leading large-scale IAM initiatives from strategy through execution in cloud-first and hybrid environments.
• Expertise with enterprise identity governance, adaptive authentication, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, Active Directory, Okta, AWS, Azure AD, Duo, or equivalent platforms.
• Expertise with privileged access management solutions such as Delinea or CyberArk, plus operating systems and database management systems.
• Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, C++, or Python, along with strong communication, leadership, requirements analysis, risk management, and compliance skills.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or GWAPT.
