Business Analyst (Power Platform)

Location: Remote within the DC Metro Area; hybrid workplace with onsite work in the DC area as needed

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Support federal energy services projects in an Agile environment using Power Platform capabilities.
• Identify client requirements, define root business needs, and translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create and contribute to lifecycle documentation, including software requirements, installation and operations manuals, vision and scope documents, and software design documents.
• Define and model business processes to improve communication between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Organize and visualize work, manage customer expectations, and support delivery planning.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for customers and the Program Manager.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience, ideally in a federal work environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Working knowledge of backlog management, user story creation, Agile principles, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
• Knowledge and experience with Power Platform tools and development, plus Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication skills, including customer outreach, issue discovery, and escalation of potential challenges.
• Ability to work in the DC area onsite as needed and to obtain or hold a US Public Trust clearance; certain positions may require US Citizenship and an extensive background investigation.

Nice to have

• Business Analyst certification and/or PMP.
• Previous Public Trust clearance.
