Associate Business Analyst (AI)

Location: US - Austin, TX; at least 3 days per week in the office. The role requires 5–10% travel and is performed in an office setting.

Salary: $73,400–$113,800 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Support multi-year technology demand planning across hardware, software, cloud services, and vendor-based technology solutions.
• Analyze demand data, consumption trends, asset utilization, and budget forecasts to improve planning accuracy and identify optimization opportunities.
• Gather requirements, document current-state processes, and design future-state solutions with technology, finance, procurement, and vendor management stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models covering forecasts, budget utilization, portfolio health, and operational performance.
• Automate and improve workflows using ServiceNow, Power Platform, scripting, workflow automation tools, business intelligence platforms, and generative AI.
• Support asset lifecycle planning, renewals, purchase planning, vendor coordination, data quality controls, and demand intake processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with large datasets, identifying trends, developing forecasts, and supporting business decisions.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis techniques.
• Strong Excel skills, including data modeling, forecasting, pivot tables, and advanced reporting.
• Ability to work from the Austin office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, technology operations, demand management, IT asset management, or technology finance.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or similar automation and reporting tools.
• Practical exposure to AI and generative AI for workflow automation, reporting, document processing, or data analysis.
• Understanding of technology budgeting, vendor management, procurement, and software or hardware lifecycle management.
