Business Analyst (IT)

Location: Hybrid in the National Capital Region, Arlington, VA or Washington, DC; onsite at least 2 days per week and for monthly customer-facing meetings. Applicants must live within a commutable distance of no more than 2 hours. US citizenship and DHS Public Trust EOD clearance are required.

Salary: $96,000–$130,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support an IT portfolio within a PMO and collaborate across teams to review control data, identify process improvements, and deliver complex initiatives involving multiple systems.
• Create dashboards and reports demonstrating control adherence, improvement opportunities, and compliance status.
• Conduct process gap analysis against regulations and industry standards, and develop continuous compliance monitoring.
• Decompose large initiatives into requirements, present them to stakeholders, and recommend product improvements that increase end-user satisfaction.
• Manage SharePoint sites, including technical capabilities, design, and site architecture, and manage Confluence and Jira boards for multiple teams.
• Coordinate IT, Finance, Acquisition, and other internal and external stakeholders while facilitating meetings and maintaining smooth daily processes.

Requirements

• US citizenship and DHS Public Trust EOD clearance required; Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
• Up to 10 years of Business Analyst experience, including agile analysis techniques such as interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels, translating complex business needs, and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint site management, analytical reporting, and data pipelines or process automation tools.
• Knowledge of SDLC or SELC, cloud systems and solutions, and IT controls and compliance processes.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, operate in a fast-paced environment, and ask probing questions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business or an IT-related field, or equivalent technical certifications or relevant experience.
• Certified Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master, Advanced Product Owner or Scrum Master, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification.
• Agile experience, recent DHS experience, and a track record of delivering customer-focused solutions across multiple teams.
