Business Analyst

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; hybrid workplace

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the Defense Automated Addressing Systems digital transformation program and Scrum teams.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Model business processes using BPMN 2.0 and supporting documentation.
• Facilitate Joint Application Design sessions and define workflows and UI requirements with UI/UX designers.
• Collaborate with developers, automated testing teams, government stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams.
• Review business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable modernization solutions.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in agile business requirements or a related discipline.
• Experience eliciting requirements, developing analyses, defining specifications, and verifying outcomes in a Scrum environment.
• Experience with BPMN 2.0, user stories, acceptance criteria, software development life cycle processes, and team-based software delivery.
• Experience with knowledge management, data management, and process modeling tools; SAFe experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• BPMN 2.0 certification.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology.
• Experience with the Defense Automated Addressing System, Defense Logistics Agency, or Department of War.
