Molecular Genetics Technologist II (Library)

What you will do

• Perform routine and moderate-complexity molecular laboratory testing according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare reagents, controls, and calibrators and monitor instrument performance.
• Interpret instrument alerts, troubleshoot initial issues, and escalate complex problems.
• Document test results, quality control, maintenance, calibrations, and corrective actions in LIMS and laboratory records.
• Participate in proficiency testing and investigations of unsatisfactory results or nonconformances.
• Train and support junior technologists in standard workflows and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related chemical, physical, or biological science field.
• More than one year of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 0–1 year with a master’s degree.
• Experience in regulated clinical laboratory testing environments.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, quality control, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards and work with potential exposure to infectious materials.

Nice to have

• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification.
• Knowledge of NGS, library preparation, sequencing QC, batch processing, data QC, contamination control, and run setup.
