Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (Molecular Diagnostics)

What you will do

• Supervise clinical laboratory staff, including staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, and day-to-day operational support.
• Coordinate sample processing, case tracking, production goals, and sample run schedules.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety procedures, good manufacturing practices, and CLIA/CAP requirements.
• Lead onboarding and training for new hires and conduct shift meetings.
• Document nonconformances, protocol deviations, corrective actions, and CAPAs; troubleshoot issues and escalate appropriately.
• Collaborate with Operations, Accessioning, Engineering, Statistics, R&D, Support, managers, and Human Resources.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory environment.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience in molecular biology and clinical laboratory testing.
• Proven leadership experience with strong interpersonal, communication, troubleshooting, computer, pipetting, word processing, and data management skills.
• Ability to work in BSL-1 to BSL-2 laboratory environments, stand or sit for extended periods, work weekends or overtime, and lift supplies up to 35 pounds.
• Successful completion of required HIPAA, privacy, security, and compliance training, plus a post-offer criminal background check.

Nice to have

• Current MT, MLS, or CLS certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Ability to independently take on projects with limited supervision.
