Project Manager III (Aerospace)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States

Base pay: $112,059–$156,882 annually for Washington applicants; other site ranges may differ.

hirify.global develops reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems, with this role supporting in-space infrastructure, orbital mobility, and spacecraft delivery.

What you will do

• Lead avionics, spacecraft systems, and critical vehicle hardware projects from concept through development, qualification, and production transition.
• Track product maturity, testing, qualification progress, readiness gates, critical paths, milestones, and integrated master schedules.
• Manage budgets, estimates at completion, product costs, scope, resources, risks, opportunities, and recovery plans.
• Establish project operating rhythms, staff meetings, operating reviews, reporting, planning cycles, and action-item closure.
• Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority and coordinate with Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Quality, and Enterprise Technology.
• Standardize workflows, track KPIs and engineering changes, and introduce automation and data-visualization improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, Operations, or an equivalent discipline.
• 10+ years of project or program management experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated hardware development environment.
• Experience managing budgets, baselines, variance reporting, recovery planning, critical paths, and high-visibility deliverables under schedule pressure.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• PMP or equivalent certification and experience across project initiation, planning, execution, and closing.
• Experience with avionics, electronics, complex integrated systems, MES, ERP, PLM, AS6500, MRLs, or PRLs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Coupa, and similar project management tools.
• Experience building KPI dashboards, standardized PM processes, and automation or AI-enabled workflow improvements.
