Project Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; primarily office or hybrid environment

Salary: $165,010.21–$226,889.04 annually

What you will do

• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide technical oversight and guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Interface with external customers on technical requirements and project execution.
• Prepare status reports covering progress, risks, mitigation plans, and contingencies.
• Identify project issues, implement resolution plans, and drive continuous process improvement.
• Manage requirements, system design, integration, and project risk activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and experience with multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Detailed understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.
• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment, travel occasionally to customer or field locations, and work in potentially hazardous project-site environments.

Nice to have

• Relevant leadership or project management experience, advanced project management tools, and industry standards knowledge.
• Experience with project estimates, technical proposals, cost and schedule management, baseline definition, trade studies, and alternatives analysis.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures.
• INCOSE certification or experience and a background in aerospace and defense.
