About the Role

You will lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification. You will manage schedules, costs, technical performance, risks, and technical issues; coordinate stakeholders; and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule throughout design, development, testing, and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, or a closely related science or engineering field with 7 years of combined technical engineering and project engineering or project management experience, or 11 years of combined experience in lieu of a degree
• Experience with solid rocket motor design, development, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of safety, handling, and regulatory requirements for energetic materials
• Ability to develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and execute against program baselines
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses
• Eligibility under U.S. export regulations

Responsibilities

• Lead solid rocket motor design and manufacturing programs from proposal through qualification
• Own and report program schedule, cost, and technical performance
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and technical issues
• Escalate unresolved constraints to program leadership
