TL;DR
Construction Project Director (Aerospace): Leading large-scale construction and facilities projects for aerospace manufacturing, test operations, R&D environments, and mission-critical infrastructure with an accent on capital planning, project execution, contractor management, and aerospace-grade safety. Focus on delivering $20M–$200M+ projects, managing budgets and risks, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, building codes, and aerospace standards.

Location: Middle River, Maryland, United States. This is an onsite role supporting construction and facilities projects. Candidates working in U.S. offices must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Base pay range: $170,000–$215,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end construction and facilities strategy across aerospace manufacturing and test sites.
  • Develop infrastructure roadmaps and multi-year capital plans aligned with operational and production goals.
  • Oversee scoping, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Manage concurrent projects including high-bay manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, test stands, laboratories, and specialized aerospace infrastructure.
  • Lead contractor, architect, engineer, vendor, permitting, and regulatory relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate schedule, cost, scope, safety, quality, and compliance risks while providing executive reporting.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive construction project management experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 16+ years of total work experience may qualify.
  • 5+ years leading large-scale industrial or manufacturing construction projects.
  • Experience delivering capital projects valued at $20M–$200M+.
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, budgeting, scheduling, financial controls, and risk management.
  • For U.S. office roles, eligibility under applicable ITAR and U.S. Government export-control requirements is required.
