Global Director of Quality Reliability and Failure Analysis (SiC)

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Direct the global product quality, reliability, and failure analysis function for discrete silicon, SiC, and power IC products.
• Develop quality systems, reliability standards, screening plans, and burn-in procedures for R&D, NPI, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Lead complex customer investigations and product qualification activities, including failure-mechanism analysis and reliability characterization.
• Design experiments and coordinate statistical studies such as gate oxide lifetime and time-dependent dielectric breakdown testing.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, manufacturing partners, and academic stakeholders.
• Represent the company in industry organizations including JEDEC and AECQ, and present results to senior management and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in electronics engineering, physics, or a related microelectronics field.
• 15+ years of experience in semiconductor quality and reliability, including senior-level industry leadership.
• 5+ years of experience with wide-bandgap power semiconductor technology, ideally SiC.
• Experience leading global reliability testing of SiC MOSFETs and diodes at wafer and package level.
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, design of experiments, semiconductor physics, and power semiconductor reliability.
• Knowledge of semiconductor TCAD tools such as Synopsys Sentaurus or Silvaco Victory, plus strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
