Healthcare Tech Manager (Epic Professional Billing)

Location: Chicago, United States; travel may be required based on client, enterprise, or project needs, with current average travel below 50% annually

Base salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year; estimated total compensation including annual incentive: $156,000–$180,000

What you will do

• Serve as the Epic Professional Billing subject matter expert on client engagements.
• Assess workflow needs with operational and technical stakeholders and recommend Epic best-practice solutions.
• Participate in client design sessions and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Support Epic Professional Billing optimization through workflow design, build guidance, testing, and production deployment.
• Complete Epic build or collaborate with client analysts to implement effective solutions.
• Communicate with revenue cycle leadership and IT teams while contributing to project delivery and practice capability building.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Epic experience, preferably with strong Epic Professional Billing expertise, in hospital and healthcare-system consulting.
• Current Epic Professional Billing certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
• Experience with Epic implementations, optimizations, or revenue cycle transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Epic Professional Billing workflows, revenue cycle operations, technical build processes, client advising, and solution recommendation.
