Ambulatory Operations Consultant (AI)

Location: Remote in the United States, with regular customer travel of approximately 30–40%

What you will do

• Join discovery sessions and pitches as the ambulatory operations expert, diagnosing workflows, quantifying opportunities, and shaping proposals.
• Lead consulting engagements focused on throughput, space utilization, patient wait times, scheduling, and access workflows.
• Present the ambulatory portfolio, including AI agents and other emerging capabilities, and identify unconventional use cases.
• Visit customer sites after deployment to test, observe, and document workflows.
• Own consulting engagements and their committed outcomes.
• Present recommendations in customer business reviews, identify expansion opportunities, and communicate customer needs to Product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in ambulatory operations, including clinic or practice management, infusion or ambulatory surgery operations, scheduling and patient access leadership, or operational analytics.
• Fluency with access and throughput metrics and confidence presenting them to executives.
• Credibility working as a peer to ambulatory operations executives, COOs, and clinical leadership.
• Comfort with technology and curiosity about AI, RTLS, and EHR-integrated workflows.
• No engineering background is required.

Nice to have

• MHA or MBA.
• Prior consulting or vendor-side experience.
• Lean or process-improvement certification.
• Familiarity with Epic Cadence or other scheduling systems.
