Consultant, Competitive Intelligence (Life Sciences)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Base salary: $96,000–$144,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Conduct secondary research using AlphaSense, Cortellis, ClinicalTrials.gov, and other data sources.
• Analyze competitive landscapes and develop insights, implications, and recommendations with project teams and subject-matter experts.
• Create accurate client reports and present key findings to internal stakeholders and clients.
• Attend industry conferences, conduct primary research, and perform human-source elicitation in line with CI ethics guidelines and the SCIP Code of Ethics.
• Design workshop pre-reads, contribute to workshop planning, support onsite execution, and prepare project reporting.
• Manage deadlines and client deliverables while using AI-enabled competitive intelligence tools to improve the speed and quality of insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with high academic achievement; life sciences or a related field is preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in life sciences consulting, competitive intelligence, or related research roles.
• Competitive intelligence experience in a consulting environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, manage competing priorities, and work under deadline pressure.
