Field Service Technician (Fuel Cell Systems)

Location: Joliet, Illinois 60433; onsite at a customer location

Pay rate: $24.50–$28.50 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain and service fuel cell systems at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, evaluations, retrofits, and software and hardware upgrades.
• Provide on-call and emergency customer support as required.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydrogen storage, high-pressure gas, fueling, cryogenic, flammability, and 480VAC systems as applicable.
• Order parts and tools, maintain inventory, and complete service logs, incident reports, and site documentation.
• Communicate with customer personnel, hydrogen suppliers, and regional service representatives while enforcing field safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• At least three years of direct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, or qualifying formal training and education.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance.
• General mechanical aptitude, computer skills, strong communication, independent work capability, and reliable time management.
• Ability to provide a standard personal tool set; specialized fuel cell tools are provided by hirify.global.

• Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications.
