Installation Technician (StarGard)

Location: Santa Barbara, CA, United States; remote workplace with onsite dealership installations and travel between locations

Salary: $17.75 per hour, plus potential annual incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Complete StarGard program installations, repairs, maintenance, and technical diagnostics at assigned dealerships.
• Review the daily appointment schedule, report to dealerships, collect vehicle keys, and access vehicles for installation.
• Install programs accurately, label and track vehicles, and maintain complete dealership inventory installations by the end of each week.
• Communicate installation schedules and failed installations to dealership management and the home office.
• Travel to new dealer launches by car or plane when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Prior field service technician experience.
• Proficiency with wire crimpers, wire strippers, power drills, automotive multimeters or voltmeters, and panel-removal bit sets.
• Ability to travel, work changing schedules, solve problems, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly for training purposes.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform physical installation work in confined or awkward spaces.
