Industrial Generator Field Service Technician 1

Location: Florida; onsite five days a week. Travel required: 70–90% locally and 20–30% outside the local area.

Salary: $72,360–$108,540 per year.

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, startups, operational checks, and load-bank testing on industrial generator equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults involving fuel, cooling, starting, and generator systems.
• Provide onsite service at customer locations, respond to service calls, and support emergency after-hours work.
• Process service orders, warranty claims, parts orders, invoices, documentation, and spare-parts returns.
• Prepare service reports, inspection protocols, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical advice and training to customers, channel partners, and internal employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 1–3 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background, drug, and medical requirements.
• Ability to travel frequently, work outdoors around moving mechanical parts, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear required PPE.
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with 24/7 service needs and overtime based on business requirements.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; domestic relocation assistance is not offered.

Nice to have

• NFPA 70E and OSHA 10 safety qualifications.
• Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
