FTS Specialty Field Service Engineer (Turbine Generators)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; field work at customer sites with 85% domestic and international travel. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

What you will do

• Provide on-site technical services for combustion and steam turbine-generators, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and fact-finding.
• Perform combustion dynamics and emissions tuning to improve performance and support regulatory compliance.
• Support new unit installations through steam turbine valve stroking and timing verification.
• Perform precision metrology and alignment using portable CMM equipment, scanning technologies, and CAD/GD&T principles.
• Lead mechanics and contractors, collaborate with customers, and document technical results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, or a high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of advanced field experience in power generation or oil and gas.
• Strong expertise in combustion and steam turbine-generator systems, commissioning, troubleshooting, and emissions tuning.
• Experience with modal and vibration analysis, metrology, precision alignment, CMM equipment, and advanced scanning tools.
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and operational procedures independently.
• Willingness to travel 85% domestically and internationally.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
