Full Stack Developer — Global Health & AI

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional international travel. U.S. citizenship is required by the federal government contract.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 annually.

What you will do

• Build a governed data-access application with natural-language data exploration, authentication, authorization, audit logging, and disclosure-risk controls.
• Develop offline-first field tools for interviewers and supervisors that operate on low-end devices and synchronize after intermittent connectivity.
• Integrate AI services and model pipelines through RESTful APIs, including MCP connectors for DHS data and AI assistants.
• Design specifications for agentic coding tools, then review, test, and own the resulting production code.
• Design data services and schemas for survey metadata, microdata, and AI-assisted processing results.
• Prepare applications for production, document solutions, and communicate progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of professional full stack development experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• At least 1 year of experience integrating LLMs into production systems with attention to security, reliability, and error handling.
• At least 1 year of experience with a major cloud platform, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, a modern frontend framework, backend development in Python or another modern language, relational databases, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Production experience implementing authentication, authorization, and audit logging.
• Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools to specify, review, test, and deliver production code.

Nice to have

• Experience building offline-first, low-connectivity, data-access, analytics, or research-data applications.
• Experience with statisticians, researchers, statistical workflows, or role-based access systems.
• Knowledge of LLM cost, latency, and reliability trade-offs, agent frameworks, AI workflow orchestration, MCP servers, or AI evaluation tools.
• Experience with multilingual interfaces or global health and international development programs.
