Service Technician I (Robotics)

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, hardware repairs, component swaps, and replacements on delivery robots.
• Use approved hardware and software tools to execute structured diagnostic procedures.
• Inspect repaired robots and conduct validation testing to confirm repair effectiveness.
• Document repairs in MaintainX with detailed notes, photos, and supporting evidence.
• Track parts usage, maintain organized work areas, and follow safety and tool-handling procedures.
• Identify recurring repair patterns and escalate complex or systemic failures to higher-level technicians.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of hands-on technical experience in electro-mechanical, automotive, electronics, robotics, aerospace, or a similar industry.
• Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with multimeters, power supplies, and general shop tools.
• Experience in shop, lab, or field-service environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to work weekends as part of a five-day schedule and perform hands-on work, including lifting up to 18.1 kg and standing for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Trade school certification or completion of a technical training program.
• Experience with issue-tracking systems such as Jira.
• Exposure to robotics, automation, or integrated mechanical-electrical systems.
