Senior Robotics Test & Integration Technician (Technician III) (robotics/AI): Bringing autonomous palletizing robots to life, troubleshooting complete electromechanical systems, and preparing verified robots for shipment with an accent on subsystem bring-up, acceptance testing, and evidence-based fault isolation. Focus on diagnosing electrical, mechanical, software, networking, and configuration failures, proving repairs, and reducing recurring field issues.

Location: Watertown, Massachusetts, United States; on-site

Salary: $38–$48 per hour

Company

hirify.global develops and deploys AI-powered robotics for factories, warehouses, and other real-world facilities.

What you will do

  • Receive robots from production, inspect build readiness and wiring workmanship, and perform safe initial power-up.
  • Load and verify software, firmware, calibrations, and configurations using provisioning tools and procedures.
  • Bring up and test DC power, battery systems, CAN communications, robot arms, mobile bases, sensors, vacuum tooling, and safety circuits.
  • Run functional and final acceptance tests, including multi-hour continuous runs and log reviews.
  • Triage electrical, mechanical, software, networking, and configuration failures; isolate root causes, perform approved repairs, and verify fixes.
  • Document results, prepare robots for shipment, coach manufacturing technicians, and escalate recurring issues with clear evidence.

Requirements

  • Independent troubleshooting experience with complete robots, industrial automation equipment, or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience owning system bring-up and resolving failures beyond assembly or routine pass/fail testing.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings; confident use of a multimeter.
  • Working knowledge of DC power systems, motors, actuators, sensors, connectors, Linux command line, IP networking, software installation, configuration checks, and log analysis.
  • Methodical diagnostic approach with clear documentation, prioritization of production blockers, and appropriate escalation.
  • Availability for extended hours during production pushes and shipping deadlines.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, CAN bus diagnostic tools, collaborative robot arms, mobile robots, or battery-powered equipment.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 or similar wiring workmanship training.
  • Python or shell scripting for diagnostics and test execution.
  • Technical training, an associate degree, or equivalent practical experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Fully employer-covered health insurance.
  • Managed 401(k), unlimited PTO, and holidays.
  • Regular in-office meals and social events.
  • Collaborative, low-ego work culture with ownership and direct impact.

Hiring process

  • Finalists complete a hands-on troubleshooting exercise using a representative fault, schematics, and logs.
  • The evaluation focuses on diagnostic reasoning, proposed repair, and proof that the issue has been resolved.
