Director, Technical Program Management, Networking

Location: Netherlands, Norway, or the UK; regular travel to sites and partners across Europe is required.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers responsible for cluster networking, data centre networking, and WAN delivery.
• Own end-to-end network delivery for new GPU cluster builds and expansions, from hardware arrival through installation, validation, and customer acceptance.
• Establish programme delivery standards covering planning, milestone gates, risks, dependencies, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Network Engineering on Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics, front-end networks, WAN interconnects, design readiness, bills of materials, and build sequencing.
• Coordinate Deployment, Data Centre Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, SRE, Commercial teams, carriers, IXPs, colocation providers, and hardware vendors.
• Report delivery status, risks, trade-offs, metrics, and customer-impacting issues to executive leadership and customers.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technical programme management, network engineering, or infrastructure delivery.
• 5+ years leading Technical Program Manager or engineering teams.
• Experience delivering large-scale network infrastructure at a hyperscaler or major network vendor.
• Strong knowledge of cluster and data centre networking, WAN, routing, BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, Ethernet, and InfiniBand fabrics.
• Experience managing multi-site, multi-country builds with complex hardware, vendor, and carrier dependencies.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Europe to sites and partners.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering networking for large GPU clusters or AI training environments.
• Familiarity with HPC topologies such as Fat Tree and Rail, plus 400G/800G optics.
• Experience with network automation and infrastructure-as-code in deployment environments.
• PMP, PgMP, or a similar certification.
