Head of Technical Program Management (AI Platform)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working model with in-person collaboration in office spaces and remote work.

What you will do

• Build, coach and support a small technical programme management team for the AI Platform organisation.
• Partner with AI Platform and Engineering leadership to align priorities, manage trade-offs and drive meaningful outcomes.
• Coordinate work across ML and research, infrastructure, embedded, on-vehicle engineering, cloud and vendor teams.
• Own planning, prioritisation and execution across the AI Platform roadmap and lead flagship infrastructure, tooling, training and inference programmes.
• Establish planning cadences, governance, escalation paths, KPIs, dashboards and operational reviews.
• Drive improvements in developer velocity, compute efficiency and cost, training and inference performance, and platform reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical programme management experience across platform, infrastructure, compute, ML infrastructure, developer tooling, training or inference systems.
• Experience building or scaling a programme function, hiring and developing high-performing teams, and leading through influence.
• Strong technical understanding of machine learning, GPUs, model training and inference, compute orchestration, embedded systems and constrained edge deployment.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Ray, Flyte, Docker, Azure and Python, as well as AI agents and coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude or Codex.
• Ability to connect technical investments with developer velocity, compute efficiency, cost, model performance and platform reliability.
• Experience with large-scale ML or compute platforms, embedded or edge inference, autonomous vehicles, robotics or comparable infrastructure environments is valuable.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a platform used by hundreds of engineers and researchers.
• Engineering or computer science degree, or prior experience working as an engineer.
