System Test Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Foster City, California or San Diego, California; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design test plans and test cases at the highest level of system integration.
• Automate feature, functional, and regression testing using Hardware in the Loop and Software in the Loop assets.
• Review test data, collect metrics, and provide quantitative evidence for milestone readiness.
• Analyze vehicle logs and test data to trace failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Document findings, communicate results, and support defect management through resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of industry experience testing complex systems, including autonomy, robotics, or autonomous behaviors.
• Experience designing, developing, and executing scalable test methodologies across multiple teams.
• Strong software development experience with Python, Pytest, REST APIs, or comparable high-level technologies.
• Experience with Git, integrated systems troubleshooting, and system-level validation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hardware in the Loop or Software in the Loop testing.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Linux and Unix-based systems.
