What you will do

• Define and own the enterprise QA vision and long-term automation strategy across the Platform, Credential, and Violations portfolios.
• Establish testing standards covering unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, and non-functional testing.
• Design validation approaches for asynchronous, event-driven, and message-based integrations.
• Build and maintain shared automation frameworks and test libraries, while writing and reviewing production-quality test code.
• Partner with QA Leads and Tech Leads, coach engineers, and unblock squads through hands-on implementation and training.
• Represent QA in architecture discussions, resolve cross-portfolio dependencies, and track quality metrics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in QA, quality engineering, or software engineering, including 4+ years focused on test automation strategy and architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Current hands-on ability to write production-quality automation code and work directly in engineering codebases.
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, automation architecture, the Test Automation Pyramid, and scripting with Python, pytest, and Playwright.
• Experience with non-functional testing, SQL, REST and SOAP APIs, CI/CD tooling, browser and mobile testing, and basic OWASP-informed security testing.
• Experience with asynchronous integrations, test data management, data quality validation, and testing live system migrations.

Nice to have

• ISTQB, ASTQB, or an advanced testing certification.
• Experience establishing QA or automation capabilities in an immature environment.
• Experience in mobility, transportation, tolling, parking, or high-volume transaction processing.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, data privacy, vendor evaluation, and build-versus-buy decisions for quality tooling.
