Workday Integration Engineer (HR Technology)

Location: Vancouver, Canada, with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; working from home on Wednesday is generally available, while Friday depends on the role and partner teams.

Salary: CAD 123,000–140,000 base salary per year, plus potential equity, incentive pay, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Document Transformation, and Web Services APIs.
• Lead technical project management for People Systems integration initiatives, including requirements, estimates, timelines, and launch tracking.
• Maintain and optimize inbound and outbound Workday integrations for scalability, efficiency, and data integrity.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex integration issues while protecting sensitive HR data and system reliability.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align integration strategy with business objectives.
• Create technical documentation and contribute to the People Systems architecture roadmap.

Requirements

• Experience building, launching, and supporting complex enterprise integrations in the Workday ecosystem.
• Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Cloud Connect.
• Strong knowledge of HR technology, enterprise integration, XML, XSLT, API-based integration, and file-based integration.
• Experience managing integration projects end to end, from stakeholder requirements through execution.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to apply them to improve productivity and decision-making.
