Software Engineer, Full Stack, Level 4 (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco; expected to work in an office 4+ days per week under hirify.global's “default together” policy.

Base salary: $133,000–$235,000 annually depending on pay zone, with eligibility for equity in the form of RSUs.

What you will do

• Build mobile and desktop web applications and systems.
• Implement user-facing features and interfaces focused on performance.
• Follow high-quality design and implementation practices.
• Contribute to shared libraries, systems, and engineering culture.
• Log and analyze operational and engagement metrics.
• Use AI tools and high-velocity workflows to design and ship scalable services while maintaining code correctness, security, and production-ready quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science, or equivalent practical work experience.
• 2+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience, or a Master's degree in a technical field plus 1+ year of post-graduate software development experience, or a PhD in a relevant technical field.
• Experience with full-stack web development.
• High proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• High proficiency in Java, Golang, Node.js, and/or Python.
• Front-end development experience with JavaScript UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, including user interface components and web application development.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming principles and understanding of domain-driven design principles.
• Solid knowledge of unit testing and JavaScript performance and browser layout rendering optimization.
• Proficiency in, or strong aptitude for, using AI tools to streamline development and critically audit generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks; ability to learn and apply evolving AI systems and tools.

Nice to have

• MS degree in a technical field.
• Experience with WebGL, Canvas, WebAssembly, service workers, or other advanced front-end technology.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with large-scale microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services.
• Ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Passion for building rich and innovative user experiences.
