Software Engineer 3 (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript)

What you will do

• Architect, build, and maintain large-scale distributed web applications and full-stack solutions using Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Design scalable microservices, REST middleware, backend services, and data-processing pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services across cloud-native and high-side environments, including MACHINESHOP, AWS, and C2S.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps automation for secure software delivery.
• Collaborate with mission analysts, security researchers, and cross-functional engineering teams on offensive cyber tooling and rapid-response capabilities.
• Use AI-assisted development workflows, including Claude Code, Codex, and Opencode, to accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• At least 12 years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Production-grade experience with Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript for enterprise distributed web applications.
• Experience with high-side development environments, non-attributed network configurations, full-stack architecture, REST APIs, and relational or non-relational databases.
• Experience with Docker, DevOps automation, CI pipelines, cloud service providers, Git-based version control, testing frameworks, and agile workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; four additional years of comparable software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in offensive cyber operations, vulnerability research, and software reverse engineering.
• Experience configuring AI-assisted development tools and custom extensions.
• Familiarity with React, Angular, Vue, Bootstrap, or jQuery.
• Knowledge of mobile vulnerability research, Android application architecture, C/C++, gdb, Java Map/Reduce, or GHOSTMACHINE.
