Underwriting Analyst Intern (Financial Services)

Location: Spokane, Washington (Headquarters), United States; onsite

Compensation: $22.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Gain practical exposure to credit underwriting, model risk management, and data analytics.
• Research complex topics and design analysis methodologies.
• Complete an individual research project with guidance from a designated coach.
• Follow a formal learning guide covering different positions and business areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues while also working independently.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in accounting, finance, data analytics, economics, mathematics, business, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite in Spokane, Washington for a full-time summer internship lasting 10–12 weeks from approximately June through August.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to research complex topics and design analysis methodologies.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required; work authorization sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with R/RStudio, Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, or other data analysis tools.
