Summer 2027 Intern - Corporate Actuarial (Hartford)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut; on-site and in-person. Must reside nearby or be able to reliably commute to Hartford.

Compensation: $26.50–$30.50 per hour. Base salary range: $50,300–$69,125.

What you will do

• Support actuarial modeling, financial reporting, and strategic analysis.
• Contribute to actuarial model enhancements and internal reporting tools.
• Assist with data validation, assumption setting, trend analysis, valuation, forecasting, and regulatory deliverables.
• Complete individual and group projects using company tools, systems, and workflows.
• Present project results to business leaders at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
• Available for the full 10-week program from June 2 through August 6, 2027.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship; CPT/OPT is not supported.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, independent-working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• At least two years of academic progress toward a bachelor's degree and availability for full-time employment by mid-2028.
• Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another math-focused major.
• One or more passed Society of Actuaries exams.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, finance, or actuarial fields.
