Senior Project Manager

Location: Washington, DC / DC Metro and Northern Virginia; majority of work is performed at the construction site. Local travel to and from construction sites is required, with occasional long-distance and overnight travel. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually, plus eligibility for a vehicle allowance and discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead project teams through supervision, coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and staff development.
• Manage project scope, staffing, schedules, budgets, risks, logistics, change management, and client communications.
• Coordinate estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting, bid packages, post-bid reviews, and project pursuit proposals.
• Establish subcontract agreements, work scopes, quality expectations, and coordination requirements for trade contractors, vendors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Oversee project documentation, contract information, bulletins, field work orders, change orders, and delivery of professional management services.
• Drive construction-site safety, address unsafe behaviors, and coordinate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 10 years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role.
• At least 5 years as a Project Manager or in a comparable leadership role overseeing multiple large and complex construction projects.
• Training or completed coursework in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States is required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
