Workplace Design & Construction Project Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA, US; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead workplace design and construction projects from scoping and programming through design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision points.
• Coordinate architects, contractors, consultants, vendors, landlords, and internal stakeholders.
• Review architectural plans, furniture layouts, finish selections, design packages, and workplace standards.
• Manage procurement, vendor selection, contracts, change orders, FF&E, installations, inspections, and closeout documentation.
• Partner with colocation, data center, and manufacturing teams on office and employee-facing project components.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in workplace design and construction, commercial real estate, architecture, interior design, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience independently managing office buildouts, tenant improvements, renovations, expansions, relocations, or similar workplace projects.
• Strong understanding of programming, test fits, design development, permitting, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, consultants, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of construction terminology, procurement, FF&E, architectural drawings, furniture plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or similar project-management tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, real estate, engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, LEED, or another relevant professional certification.
