Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

What you will do

• Build and maintain API, integration, end-to-end, regression, load, and performance test automation.
• Develop Playwright-based suites for critical user journeys and integrate them with GitHub Actions release gates.
• Create AI-assisted tooling that converts acceptance criteria and user stories into test plans and automated scripts.
• Establish regression registers, coverage dashboards, suite health standards, and reliable testing outcomes.
• Build load and performance testing frameworks and define release thresholds with engineering teams.
• Partner with engineers, engineering managers, product managers, and the SET Lead to establish testing standards across the organization.

Requirements

• Production experience building and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks, using Playwright or an equivalent tool.
• Experience integrating automated tests with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD systems and configuring release gates.
• Programming proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
• Hands-on API or contract testing experience with tools such as Pact or Postman.
• Experience with load and performance testing tools such as k6 or Locust.
• Experience using AI coding tools with independent technical judgment, plus a CLI-native workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience building a test automation function from scratch.
• Experience partnering with product managers on acceptance criteria and golden-path journey definitions.
• Familiarity with coverage tooling and coverage-based test prioritization.
• Experience with AI-assisted test generation, e-commerce, logistics, supply-chain systems, Shopify, WMS/TMS, billing systems, or CI security and dependency scanning.
