Facilities Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, USA; onsite compressed night shift from 6:50pm to 7am

hirify.global operates a semiconductor fabrication facility requiring continuous facilities support and maintenance.

What you will do

• Monitor and operate central utility and support systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air systems, closed-loop water, DI water, wastewater treatment, toxic gas monitoring, vacuum pumps, and electrical distribution.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot failures, and repair facilities equipment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and take corrective action to prevent manufacturing interruptions.
• Collect and interpret equipment data during shift walks to identify potential problems and improve system uptime with Facilities Engineers.
• Support tool installations, construction projects, vendor and field-service activities, shift handoffs, and peer coverage.
• Use CMMS to create work orders and document completed work while maintaining assigned areas through 6S practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with closed-loop water systems, waste treatment, HVAC, electrical systems, air compressors, pumps, and plumbing.
• Strong analytical, mechanical, electrical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Computer skills with Windows and non-Windows operating systems, plus flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work the compressed night shift from 6:50pm to 7am and wear required PPE, including a respirator around chemicals.

Nice to have

• A.A. degree.
• Current certification or license such as an Electrical Trainee Certificate, HVAC/Refrigeration certification, Journeyman qualification, or related credential.
