Litho Principal Maintenance Technician (Days) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Malta, New York, USA; onsite work in a semiconductor cleanroom

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve lithography equipment and assigned semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets.
• Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic, computer, and software skills.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions, document events, and provide shift handoffs to lead technicians and engineers.
• Work with production team members and area engineers on equipment performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus a two-year technical or associate degree in science, mathematics, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training and experience.
• At least 4 years of direct semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor equipment, tool, or facilities maintenance experience; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant or equivalent military experience.
• English fluency required for written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer navigation skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Ability to work onsite in a cleanroom, wear required cleanroom clothing and PPE, and remain clean-shaven for respirator use when required.
• Ability to work 12-hour alternating day or night shifts, stand and walk for most of the shift, climb, crouch, use hand tools, and periodically lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing or equipment maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with statistical process control, structured troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
