What you will do

• Manage residential construction loans from closing through project completion.
• Review construction plans, specifications, contracts, appraisals, and third-party inspection reports.
• Evaluate construction phases, materials, delays, and builder performance to determine phased loan disbursements.
• Monitor construction loan portfolios, identify risks and stalled projects, and maintain funding controls.
• Coordinate communication and mediation among borrowers, builders, and internal bank teams.
• Resolve lien filings, legal disputes, insurance loss claims, and construction inconsistencies.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in residential mortgage lending, residential construction, or both.
• Extensive knowledge of residential mortgage lending and construction.
• Ability to interpret surveys and identify boundary, setback, critical-line, and flood-boundary issues.
• Ability to research municipal and city construction requirements.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating builders, borrowers, homeowners, and bank departments.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred.

• State builder or general contractor license.
