Legal Counsel - Regulatory (Payments)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid model with 3 days a week from the office and 2 days from home

What you will do

• Advise on payment regulation, digital regulation, product compliance, and consumer protection.
• Track and assess international legal and regulatory requirements and support their implementation across the hirify.global Group.
• Identify regulatory risks and enforcement trends, develop mitigation strategies, and engage with relevant regulators.
• Advise on commercial matters, including agreements with partners and payment processors, tariffs, and compliant payment models.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, guidance, and other legal documentation.
• Support the legal leadership and business teams, including through ethical use and adoption of legal technology and AI tools.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 1–3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience advising on payments regulation and commercial matters is preferred.
• Ability to assess new international legislation and regulations and apply them to business risks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, drafting, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
