Linux Systems Engineer (RHEL)

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom, with some hybrid working available subject to the hybrid working policy. Applicants must be UK nationals only, with no dual nationality, and able to obtain UK SC security clearance.

What you will do

• Design, provision, configure, and maintain Linux systems and engineering hardware supporting development environments.
• Support project initiation and planning by capturing infrastructure requirements and defining technical strategies.
• Manage the configuration and deployment of Linux workstations and servers for engineering groups.
• Collaborate with business managers, IT teams, and security teams to solve technical challenges and meet compliance requirements.
• Identify infrastructure improvements and contribute to research and development activities.

Requirements

• UK nationality only; dual nationals are not eligible.
• Ability to obtain UK SC-level security clearance.
• Demonstrable Linux systems administration experience, primarily with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Experience using orchestration and automation tools such as Ansible.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Python, Bash, Perl, or PowerShell.
• Ability to independently develop and deploy scalable, robust Linux-based solutions.
