HSS - Linux System Administrator

Location: United Kingdom, any city; fully onsite at the customer location five days per week. Hybrid and remote working are not available.

What you will do

• Provide first- and second-line support for infrastructure incidents, requests, and problems.
• Administer, support, and maintain enterprise Linux environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform patching, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Create technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Identify automation and continual service improvement opportunities while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility to meet UK Government and contractual security requirements are required.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite at the customer location five days per week.
• Experience administering Linux operating systems such as RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, or SUSE.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including Bash scripting and Linux command-line administration.
• Experience working in ITIL-based service environments.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef experience.
• Python, Git, and AWS experience.
• Experience with VMware, KVM, Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code, automation, Linux performance tuning, or monitoring experience.
