Machinist II (Contract) (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in the Mobile Area, Alabama, United States

hirify.global manufactures commercial aircraft, including the A220 and A320 Family, at its U.S. manufacturing facility.

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, routers, lasers, and manual milling machines.
• Program new parts, read and write G-code, and create or correct DXF and GNH files using EnRoute or Gravostyle.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD designs, engineering plans, work orders, GD&T, and machining parameters.
• Select cutting tools, establish cut sequences, set tool and work offsets, and create setup instructions.
• Inspect first articles and finished workpieces using measuring techniques and SPC processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, supervisors, and lead personnel while following safety and security requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a machine or fabrication shop.
• 5 years of documented CNC and manual machining experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience machining aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
• Ability to use CAM software, interpret technical drawings, and apply GD&T and ISO-compliant processes.
• Ability to work on-site in the Mobile Area, Alabama.
