Machinist I (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, New York, United States

Salary: $22.00–$27.00 per hour; second- and third-shift employees receive a 10% shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with milling capabilities.
• Machine complex, high-precision components to close tolerances and fine finishes.
• Inspect completed work and adjust gaging equipment, including micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Detect unusual conditions, deviations, and errors in blueprints or operation sheets.
• Interpret complex drawings, GD&T blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets.

Requirements

• At least one year of general machinist experience or completion of a formal manufacturing, machining, or CNC training program.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment such as micrometers and dial bore gauges.
• Ability to follow machining escalation procedures and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to understand and apply work instructions and training in English.
• Participation in the company FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required for this safety-sensitive position.
