Program Manager I (Digital Transformation)

M&T Bank’s Wilmington Trust Institutional Services division is undergoing a strategic digital transformation to develop digital-first trust and agency services, adopt a client-centric operating model, and support global solutions.

What you will do

• Support portfolio, program, and project management activities across business and technology initiatives.
• Develop project plans, schedules, forecasts, budgets, resource plans, risk plans, and communication plans.
• Coordinate deliverables, requirements, dependencies, change controls, and project execution.
• Track and report program performance metrics, OKRs, KPIs, capacity, vendor performance, and financial forecasts.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate initiative status to management and executive leadership.
• Oversee 1–2 large initiatives and indirectly coordinate approximately 10–20 business and technology staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of proven project management experience, or 12 years of combined higher education and work experience including 8 years of project management experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, controls, audit points, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, influencing, consensus-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Work location: Buffalo, New York, United States.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.
• Experience leading business-driven initiatives and managing relationships across organizational levels.
