Maintenance Technician (Capacitor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, thermal, and electromechanical systems.
• Prioritize maintenance of vacuum drying and impregnation systems, winders, ovens, and capacitor test equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, component replacements, and post-repair operational checks.
• Document repairs, failures, replaced parts, and maintenance activities in Boltline, the manufacturing execution system.
• Support root-cause investigations, equipment installation and commissioning, upgrades, and continuous reliability improvements.
• Maintain critical spares, tools, work areas, and supplier relationships for specialized repairs and replacement components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or manufacturing equipment experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with pneumatic and electromechanical systems, motors, pumps, valves, sensors, heaters, relays, contactors, and power supplies.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Experience using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters and precision measuring equipment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, current U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or person granted asylum in the United States. A pre-employment background check is required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree, technical certification, or trade-school training in industrial maintenance or a related field.
• Experience with capacitor manufacturing, precision winding, vacuum systems, impregnation, industrial ovens, PLC-controlled equipment, instrumentation, VFDs, or electrical control panels.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs, CMMS or MES systems, equipment installation, and commissioning.
• Experience with high-voltage equipment, stored-energy hazards, HiPot test stations, NFPA 70E, or equivalent electrical safety training.
