Accounting Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City or San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $230,000–$270,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own accounting, audit, tax, deal desk, payroll, and procurement functions.
• Review third-party accounting firm deliverables, manage daily accounting tasks, and ensure timely monthly closes.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, invoicing, collections, and expense tracking.
• Review financial statements and maintain GAAP compliance.
• Build audit readiness and help evaluate external auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain and optimize QuickBooks and Ramp while supporting planning for an ERP transition.

Requirements

• 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years at a high-growth startup.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and audit compliance.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close, financial reporting, and financial systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, process-driven environment with strong attention to detail.
• Experience building and leading an accounting team over time.
• Ability to work on-site in either the New York City or San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Background in audit or accounting.
• CPA certification.
