Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build enterprise capabilities that help large organizations adopt and scale the platform.
• Improve self-hosted deployment, configuration, upgrades, and observability.
• Design backend services, APIs, and distributed systems for demanding enterprise workloads.
• Implement security, compliance, integrations, and developer workflow capabilities.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements, support deployments, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Own projects from design through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing operation while mentoring engineers and improving engineering practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building and operating backend systems or distributed infrastructure in production.
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, or a comparable modern backend stack.
• Experience designing APIs with REST, GraphQL, or similar approaches, plus microservices, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query performance.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production observability.
• Strong engineering fundamentals, sound technical judgment, clear communication, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with self-hosted or customer-managed enterprise software.
• Familiarity with enterprise identity, access controls, audit logging, or compliance requirements.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into production workflows or designing agent-based systems.
• Experience with code search, code graphs, tree-sitter, static analysis, or open-source developer communities.
